What is Shark-Tracker?
Shark-Tracker is a new, extraordinary and thrilling adoption-program for great white sharks. It is exciting, entertaining and educational and at the same time you’ll contribute a great deal to the protection of this charismatic predator.With Shark-Tracker we want to gain enthusiasm from people to help save this amazing fish which is under threat of extinction. High tech tools like satellite tags, online-maps, clips, digital pictures, and reports from the scientist enable you to get to "virtually" know a great white shark personally. Adopt one of the great white sharks in our research-group and check its whereabouts whenever and wherever you want! Find out where it is, how it moves through the ocean, the distances it covers and how fast it swims, if it prefers open water or costal areas. Take part in the life of your adopted shark – day by day. The money you donate to this special adoption-program will support essential scientific projects (and education work), which are necessary to establish powerful conservation measures for great white sharks.
